Parsonage Residents Association
Dear Brian Wallis
Bishop's Stortford Town Council and East Herts District Council are working together to produce a plan for the town, called Bishop's Stortford 2020.
To ensure that everyone who lives, works or shops in the town has an opportunity to influence this plan, we have put a questionnaire on the website www.stort.co.uk with a link to it from the Bishop's Stortford Town website.
I am writing to you to request that you encourage everyone in your organisation to fill in this questionnaire.
I would also be grateful if the link to www.stort.co.uk could be added to your website. If your webmaster would like any help please contact Ian Hudson who is also a member of the Town Plan Steering Committee.
Thank you for your help in this matter,
With best wishes,
Cllr John Barfoot
Chairman, Town Plan Steering Committee
[Web Master]: John, we also note an addition to our forum.

We've changed colour to our corporate orange - oh, well, at least a close version!
Don't like it? let us know. This also gives the opportunity to improve the operation of the site, to help it run a little smoother

Our all new PRA web forum is up and running. So, what is a forum? A forum is a place where people can talk - 2 ways - back and forth.
You, Yes YOU, can directly post a question, a comment or opinion, praise or complaint, reply or defense onto the forum yourself!
... and how do I do it?
First you need to register: by clicking on this link. You will need to make up a user-name - mine is IanM - and a password - mine is a secret! You will also need to provide your email address for security. Please don't be afraid to email me if you have any problems.
The best thing to do after registering, is to log in and explore. You can only post messages if you log in.
The phrase Parsonage Resident's Association Forum will always return you back to the beginning
We've started a few comments, just to get the ball rolling - but you know what is really important and in need of debate - Please join the debate with your comments, complaints, opinions, news, views and pictures, to make this, our web discussion site, for our community.

The Footpaths Association asked the PRA if we would help to stop the closure of Hockerill footpath no. 53 which runs through the school.
They sent me letters from PRA members who live in Stortford Hall Park who are strongly opposed to this proposed closure.
I have contacted all the committee and they are 100% against the closure.
PRA secretary, Vicki, has written to the council on behalf of the committee conveying our opposition to this extinguising of a valuable footpath.
I received a letter from the Rights of Way unit at County Hall explaining that the Development and control committee have deferred any decision until January.
Hockerill school who have applied for this closure had in the last day or so prior to the DCC meeting put forward further evidence to support thier application.
We have an opportunity to bring this up at our community meeting on 7th October as we will have councillors and MP in attendance.
